Born into a military family in Monterey, California, Sandy Byers moved frequently as a child. She loved drawing as a child, which her parents encouraged by enrolling her in private oil painting lessons in her early years. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ramón Miranda Beltrán developed his artistic skills and taste in Puerto Rico. He attended the Universidad de Puerto Rico and received a B.A. in Fine Arts with an emphasis on Photography. Nancy Towne-Schultz As a child, Nancy Towne-Schultz loved to collect small-patterned papers and little treasures such as feathers, acorns, sea glass, seeds, and pods. Her mother was an avid shell collector, and she often accompanied her on collecting expeditions to Marco and Sanibel Islands.
